Green Lipped Mussel; Latin: Perna canaliculus, is a rare commodity. Also known as Greenshell Mussel, and incorrectly as Green Lipped Muscle. Long treasured by the Maori race, (the first people to come to New Zealand), as a food that alleviated their misery from arthritis, Perna Canaliculus only grows in the waters around New Zealand. These days you can still buy large, fresh, juicy mussels in supermarkets in New Zealand, but if you get tired of eating them every day you have the option of buying them freeze dried in capsules. The whole mussel is used after being extracted from the shell. Nothing else is added to this food.

Dosage: 1500 - 2000mg daily for an optimal effect =
